If you’ve updated to the latest version of #Spotify, you’ve probably noticed a few changes, one of them being Spotify Apps. There are quite a few to choose from, but if you need help choosing, we’re here to make some recommendations.

First off, definitely add Moodagent. This app makes a playlist for you based on what mood you’re in. You can choose one of the pre-determined moods, or you can choose a song in your library, and it will make a playlist of other songs based on it!

Try it out for yourself and see how amazing Spotify Apps can be!

#Spotify asked 8 artists to create a playlist they believed is essential to have during the holiday season. The playlists are set up like an advent calendar, where you can listen to one song each day leading up to Christmas. Best of all, by subscribing to any of the playlists, you can enter yourself to win prizes, including Spotify gift cards and exclusive signed merchandise. How cool is that?! Unfortunately, because they release a new song per day, accessing the playlist on Spotify now would give you only one song, so we won’t post it for now. #Spotify - If you haven’t heard the news, Spotify just revealed the next step in the music service’s future: Spotify Apps. Apps are free and have different types of functionality. For example, The Rolling Stone app can suggest articles for songs played. There is also an app that looks like it can select songs for you based on the current mood you’re in. Lots of early feedback suggest that Spotify might be going in the direction to be a little more like Facebook.

Spotify Apps will be available soon, so it’s too early to tell how successful they will be. One thing is for sure: we’re curious to try them out!
